Classroom
Procedures:
- Students
will enter the classroom quietly and immediately sit in their assigned seat.
- Once
seated, students will ensure they are prepared and ready to begin working. This includes first taking out last night's
homework assignment and then beginning the daily problem that is posted on the
Promethean Board. While students are
completing the daily problem, the teacher will be taking attendance and
checking in homework (5 minutes).
- Afterwards,
the teacher and students will go over the daily problem and review last night's
homework assignment (10-15 minutes),
- If
the class is ready to move on to the next concept they will do so, therefore
there will be whole group instruction on the new concept. If the class is not ready to move on to a new
concept, the previous lesson will be retaught to those who are still struggling
while others work is differentiated (20 minutes).
- Students
will have time to begin the homework that is assigned for the day. As a class, one problem from each set of
directions on the homework assignment will be completed together. The teacher will answer any questions one may
still have in regards to the lesson taught or on the homework assignment (10
minutes).
- The
teacher will dismiss the class after closing remarks, not the bell.
